Since 2010 we have undertaken a full scale Organic Cranberry Bog renovation. Our renovation has included many conservation and climate change resilient updates. From laser levelling the bog to building a high tunnel we have invested in our community to provide access to local food for decades to come. Some of our projects are climate change resistant vinestock, pop-up irrigation heads, a tailwater recovery pond, pollinator habitat, laser levelling, a new flooding irrigation line, automated irrigation, and solar pumping capabilities. This is THE only fully certified organic renovation of its kind and COULD be a model for climate change resiliency and small scale agriculture in the region.
While we are in the process of a full scale renovation of the front bogs we have a limited amount of fresh berries harvested by hand from the back bogs. We scoop the berries then hand sort them for quality, color and size. We have a zero waste initiative and use compostable bags, an ink stamp for our label and displays are constructed of our antique cranberry boxes.
A CSA is a community of people who share the risks and rewards of the growing season for a share in the harvest. We have a bounty of fresh local vegetables including peas tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, summer squash, scallions, potatoes, onions, greens, carrots, turnips, eggplant, peppers, herbs, flowers and much more!
